IPERA Location Engine - Aruba Central Configuration

This guide will instruct you on how to configure Aruba Instant Access Points (APs) to forward Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) data to a server running the IPera Location Engine.

Prerequisites

● Aruba APs running AOS 8.8 or higher.

● Admin login credentials for the Aruba Central.

Step 1: Connect to the Aruba Central

Connect and log in to the Aruba Central over a local network using the admin login credentials.

Step 2: Configure RTLS

From the admin page switch to Aruba Classic, select the correct Group Level

In the main window, select the Devices option, select Access Points, and navigate to Services section. In the Aruba section, click on the + icon to configure RTLS configuration.

Configure the RTLS configuration as follows:

Aruba RTLS : Enable
Enable Automatic Placement: Enable
IP/FQDN: <Will be shared in separate email>
Port: <Will be shared in separate email>
Passphrase: <Will be shared in separate email>
Retype Passphrase: <Will be shared in separate email>
Update Every: 10 Seconds
Include Unassociated Stations: Enable
Server Compatibility: Enable

Note*: The firewall rule should be allowed the Access Points to reach IPERA Location Engine Server with given UDP ports.
